Amstrad research reveals the top ten reasons why Britons email from home

Nearly a quarter of Brits email from home to avoid snooping bosses
….and 2% use home email to conduct illicit affairs

Research released today by Amstrad reveals the top ten main reasons why people email from home. The research was carried out on behalf of the Amstrad e-m@iler, the UK’s leading super phone, that allows users to send and receive emails and access the internet. The research comes off the back of a recent report released by the Office of National Statistics which revealed that an estimated 11.4m UK households now have access to email at home. Amstrad polled 1,000 users of the Amstrad e-m@ailer super phone in order to highlight the main reasons why Britons email from home. The results were as follows:

Simon Sugar, Sales and Commerical Director, Amstrad says “It is interesting to see how email culture has impacted on how we communicate from our own homes. It is clear that increased pressure from snooping bosses has been a major cause for people using home email to communicate with their friends and family without the risk of getting a ticking off at work”.

The Amstrad e-m@iler is the ultimate communication tool for the home with a pay-as-you-go email facility, internet access and a whole host of services from the latest news and sport through to horoscopes and recipes from celebrity chefs.
