6 SEPTEMBER 2001 NEW SALES TEAM FOR AMSTRAD E-M@ILER Amstrad, the company behind the e-m@iler, has recruited a sales team dedicated to selling advertising space on the email-enabled telephone. With its mini digital screen, it is the newest at-home interactive advertising medium, and has been dubbed by Amstrad 'the poster in the home'. Heading up the new sales team will be Luong Huynh, a highly experienced sales manager who previously held positions at Canon UK Ltd and Intel Corporation. He will be responsible for attracting new advertisers on to the e-m@iler as well as working with existing clients, providing them with a unique and compelling way to reach consumers. Luong will be supported by two tele-sales executive, Jonathan Richardson. Commenting on his new role, Luong said: ''I'm delighted to be joining Amstrad to work on their flagship product and am looking forward to working with a great team and some great clients. Advertisers are constantly looking for new ways to target consumers in the current dense media environment. I believe the e-m@iler offering provides excellent cut-through and value for money." Luong will report to Simon Sugar, Amstrad Commercial Director, who commented: ''Luong has a great track record in sales and a wealth of experience in the technology sector.
